Introduction
PS 2 is a massively multiplayer online shooter video game released on November 20, 2012 as the sequel of Planetside. The game uses the Forgelight Engine that support thousands of players continuous large scale conflict on a single map.
It take place on an open sandbox world and plunges the player into an ongoing conflict. As a player, you can think yourself as meat in the sausage machine because the conflict which you are thrown into is between three rival factions, and you are a single soldier there.
Enhance Gameplay and Mechanics
You are dropped to the nearest location where the action is kicking off. You can view different facilities on the map, and players can see the captured points with alphabet marks. Depending on the situation, you might have to defend a location or to take it back from the opposition. You have to stay up to date with the game and its proceedings; otherwise, you might lose the plot and would take time until you get to know what is going around. The rules are simple; players need to fight for control of the planet Auraxis by conquering and holding outposts on various continents.
They consist of a team of hundred players running off the foot, riding on vehicles, attracting and collecting resources, while limiting the opposition spawning options. The sky is all fireworks, different elements shooting at each other while on the ground, your teammates are running, fighting, dying. This scene might make you panic, but this panic is not the one that could make you feel terror but can give you the boost to run towards the front lines and fight like a true soldier.
Different Game Classes
The game comes with five different classes: Snipey Infiltrator, Chunky Heavy Assault, Light Assault, Medic, and Engineer who is rounding out the group. Players can spawn as one of these when the game starts on in the middle of the game, and you can go to the re-arm station where you will be able to play in the clothes of the sixth class: The MAX suit.
Difference between Planetside 2 and MMO Shooter Games
Mostly in other games, the capturing is simple; the player would go at the capture point, kill the opposition, and move on by earning XP. But it is different here; players have to capture the point and have to defend it at least for five minutes before moving onto the next target in the map. It is more challenging in which a planet is filled with hundreds of soldiers who have guns in their hands and want to kill other people.
Conclusion
Planetside 2 is a real outlier that all other major console releases are either broker or not that efficient for playing big games. The game, however’ does not have that many tutorials or help, which could allow the player to understand certain things. But with the right mind and right strategy to follow, this game can become an obsession for those players who click with the relentless cold vision of mass warfare.
