Unexpected Love by Sinking Ships
Silk & Sabre is an NSFW short visual novel that took around 2.2 hours to finish, a short story about a pirate captain and a Chinese woman who battle and shortly after get washed ashore upon a stranded island. Where they’ll need to learn to survive together, get a new start, please each other, and wonder who the lustful native woman is who just appeared?
Story - Content
During a sudden attack by Pirates on one of the Chinese Emperor’s ships, the Pirate captain (our protagonist) boards the Chinese vessel and kills the guards while walking over to the captain's quarters.
Where he stumbles upon a Chinese woman guarding something. After a bit of chatter and fighting, you see the end of it all, at least ten kegs of black powder. She said she would rather blow this vessel up and let us burn in hell than see the vessel shamed by our protagonist.
After escaping the ship before it's blown into scrap wood, our protagonist wakes up on a beach on some deserted island.
Wandering around, he eventually finds the same woman who blew up their entire ship; somehow, she survived too.
From this point, you’ll have to play the game yourself, as the rest showcases how their bonds grow stronger and closer. And finding out who the mystery island lady is?
Visual & Audio
Visuals
The visuals look good, the shading and light look great, and the greenery and water are better than I thought.
When it comes to the characters, they are good-looking, detailed in clothing, and smooth and beautiful in body both in proportions and texture.
Leading into the intimate animations, they are simple but smooth and look excellent with their designed positions.
I would say for such a short NSFW visual novel, it looked excellent.
Audio
For audio, they added accurate moans/sound effects on animations and their actions. Adding more feeling to those scenes.
And for music, I think we all know what theme they’re using for this game. And if you don’t know what I mean, go watch Pirates of the Caribbean.

My final little thoughts
The game looks and sounds amazing; I’m intrigued by the choice of words for how the protagonist speaks and acts. Hoping it’s not all just produced/helped with AI.
But the only unfortunate thing is the price for the length of content given.
But if that doesn’t matter as much for you, I'd recommend trying this game, as it was still fun, just a bit pricey for the short time.
