Valhalla: Lilith Rising

Lilith Is Prolly The Most Sexualized Demon ATP

This game is a big fantasy drama with demons on the horizon, Vikings in the north, gods of hell stirring the pot, and yes, a whole lot of sex stuff packed in between. It’s a standalone entry in the Lilith Rising universe, and it finally feels like the developers finally hit their stride here.

You take on the role of a newly crowned king with a demon army marching your way. But worry not! Your job is to rally the Viking forces, figure out your mysterious powers, and try your best to keep the kingdom from collapsing. All while juggling romance, leadership, and some very “enthusiastic” love interests. It is ambitious, a lil bit too campy, and surprisingly heartfelt at times.

About This Game

Storyline

Aight, let’s be real for a moment. When you hear “demon army with thousands of monsters,” you expect chaos, over-the-top drama, and maybe some questionable dialogue. And yeahhh, there is still some cheesiness. But but! This time, the story actually holds together.

The journey north feels purposeful. You are not just hopping from scene to scene for the next sex scene. There is actual progression. You learn more about your strange power, and the bigger conflict between hell’s gods starts to unfold in a way that actually kinda makes sense. It’s still dramatic and sometimes a lil bit theatrical, but in a fun fantasy novel kind of way.

What really surprised me is how engaging it became. Past entries in the series leaned heavily into camp, sometimes to the point where it was actually a bit too hard to take it seriously. Here, the writing feels wayyy more polished. Characters have clearer motivations. By the end, there are moments that genuinely land somewhat emotionally. That was not something I expected walking in.

Gameplay Mechanics

This is a choice-driven VN, so your main weapon is not literally a sword. It’s your decision-making skills. Every choice nudges relationships forward or backward. Each love interest has her own personality, preferences, and quirks, which makes your interactions feel less copy-paste and more tailored.

You can choose the loyal romance route and focus on one character, or you can attempt the legendary harem run. That path is not just a simple “click yes to everyone” situation. You actually have to balance personalities and reactions. Some characters are more understanding than others. It adds a layer of strategy to what could have been simple fan service.

There are multiple endings, over seven hours of gameplay, and a lot of content packed in. It feels substantial.

One small but frustrating issue though: achievements currently do not seem to unlock properly. Progression-based milestones that should trigger just…do not. I played through normally and did not unlock any, and from what I can tell, others are running into the same problem. It does not break the game, but if you are someone who likes chasing 100 percent completion, that bug is definitely annoying.

Visuals & Audio

The art is polished. Over 5000 static images and more than 140 animations mean there is a lot to look at. Character designs stand out, especially the new additions like the sassy captain and the mysterious shaman type. Expressions are stronger this time around, and the video sequences show noticeable improvement compared to earlier entries.

That said, not everything is perfect. While there are plenty of sex scenes, they aren’t fully animated in the way we might expect from a team effort. The production quality is solid, but you can see room for growth.

The original music and sound effects do a great job setting the mood. There are even two original songs in the soundtrack, which is a nice touch. It gives the world a bit more personality and makes the emotional moments hit harder.

Pros-

  • Strong fantasy atmosphere with demons, magic, and Viking flair.

  • Noticeable improvement in writing and storytelling.

  • Polished renders and improved animation quality.

  • Choice system that actually affects relationships.

  • More distinct and memorable characters.

  • A lot of content with multiple endings.

Cons-

  • Limited fully animated intimate scenes compared to what we might expect.

  • Some spelling errors and cheesy dialogue still slip through.

  • Achievements currently do not unlock properly.

  • Campy tone may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Conclusion

This entry stands as a sign of growth from the team at Jubei Games. The camp is still there, the fantasy drama is still dramatic, and the romance is still very bold. But now it’s backed by a storyline that actually makes sense and characters that are a bit easier to care about.

It’s certainly not flawless, and the achievement issue is definitely something that needs fixing, but you can’t deny that it’s entertaining and engaging. For fans of the series, this is easily the strongest chapter so far. And if this is your first game in the Lilith Rising universe, it is actually a pretty solid part to jump in since it’s a standalone part of the series.
