Farm Manager World
Some games plant seeds of fun. This one planted confusion, frustration, and black screens. Sixteen hours in, I feel like I’ve grown more bugs than crops.
Story - Content
On paper, Farm Manager World should’ve been great. Bigger maps, more crops, biomes with different challenges, greenhouse temperature control, soil pH, moisture levels, the works. Sounds like farming paradise.
Then you start playing.
The tutorial feels like it’s in a hurry to leave, skipping crucial steps and dumping you in the deep end without a shovel. Half the features are locked behind “training” but the game doesn’t bother telling you when you’ll get that training, so you just stare at greyed-out buttons wondering if you broke something.
Removing trees, a basic necessity, didn’t even work for me. My farm looked like a forestry reserve while I was trying to build fields. Hiring staff? Sometimes you wait an entire in-game month for someone with the skill you need. Logistics? Cool idea, terrible execution, zero explanation.
By the time I figured some of this stuff out, I’d already lost a ton of in-game money. And that was still in the beginner section.
Visuals & Audio
Visuals
The graphics are a small step up from Farm Manager 2021 when they work. I had multiple black screens and issues with alt-tabbing, UI flickers, and general jank that makes you wonder if the game’s trying to simulate power outages.
Audio
The audio is just there. It’s fine, but don’t expect immersive farm life noises, just the click of menus as you slowly drown in them.
Pros and Cons
Pros
More realism and management depth
Biomes and soil systems add variety
Slightly better graphics than 2021
Cons
Tutorial skips important info
Broken tree removal
Staff hiring bottlenecked by RNG
Logistics system is confusing and poorly explained
New features locked behind unclear “training”
Black screens and UI glitches
Feels too much like 2021 with extra chores
Final Thoughts
If you loved Farm Manager 2021, this feels less like a sequel and more like a fancier patch with more grind and more ways to get stuck. Hardcore micromanagers might be into it. For me, it’s a no.
Rating: 4/10
Great idea, but right now it’s more bug farm than dream farm
