About the Game

Magic pal and great is a bit of an awkward game to play without much of a goal or anything to really do.

Your goal is to fight world bosses to complete an objective, but that seems to be about it, other than a follow-up objective that wouldn’t be completed and mainly seems to be a game to grind achievements simply by being in the game.

DO NOT PLAY THE GAME IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY unless you want to die, cause this game is filled with constant over the top flashy effects.

Story

The game doesn’t really give any exposition on the story, but based on the description, it seems you play as one of the characters defending several worlds from invading monsters.

Gameplay

The gameplay is pretty straightforward. In the starting world, you can kill roaming monsters which nets you gold. After obtaining 100,000 gold, you can enter a new world in which your objective is to defeat its boss, then return to the main world, and then choose the next one to clear (every time you want to go to a new world other than returning to the main one it costs 100 000 gold.)

The actual gameplay consists of a few different characters with unique designs, weapons, and magic attacks, but they don’t seem to make any difference beyond appearance.

The combat itself is very boring and simple, you just need to hold or click on the enemy and keep repeating till it dies, as most enemies don’t move, or only fly in one spot, other than an occasional dragon that flies further than you can reach it.

You also have a “pal” that flies by you and attacks on its own, but it doesn’t seem to actually do much, and I haven’t figured out if you can actually obtain new ones.

You also have horses as mounts, but those are pretty pointless, as your character's move speed is the same, and almost all maps are very small, so there is not much exploring to do.

Visuals

The game’s graphics are pretty mediocre and are standard Unity stuff, with the enemies looking pretty generic, but there is a small variety of available graphics.

The game can also run pretty poorly due to all the visual effects going on (mainly fireworks, and I mean a lot of fireworks always blasting in your screen. There is a button that says it turns them off, but it hasn’t worked)

Audio and Music

The game has a few different decent soundtracks, but it has zero audio for characters and combat, which feels weird as you can’t really feel or tell any of the actions you take.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Plenty of maps and variety.

Cons

Too many visual effects, with the option to turn them off not working,
Very boring gameplay,
Nothing interesting going on or to do
No audio other than music.

Conclusion

Magic pal and great is a weird game, that I honestly cannot recommend, as it doesn’t really have anything going on or to do, and seems to have tried making it seem impressive by just spamming a bunch of visual effects on screen.

If the game goes on a massive discount I suppose, you could check it out, but sadly I don’t have much good to say for it.
