🎮 Gameplay Mechanics

🔶 I’ve played plenty of wholesome indie games, but this one stands out because the experience feels uniquely personal for every player. At its core, it’s a simple platformer where you move forward or backward in time and interact with characters. Each character typically needs an item, and your job is to find and deliver it. For instance, if someone wants to bake cookies but lacks the tools, you might jump forward in time to get the tools and then return to change their outcome.

🔷 While the concept is interesting, I personally found the gameplay repetitive. If you enjoy positivity, though, the game is overflowing with it. Every event is tied to a life lesson, which gets summarized beautifully at the end of each in-game season through a journal entry. It’s the perfect chill game if you’re seeking uplifting vibes.

🔶 That said, for gamers looking for a compelling plot or engaging mechanics, this might not be the right choice. The characters’ actions feel disconnected and don’t contribute to any overarching story. All the events in the game are random, and there’s nothing to tie them together. Sure, at the end of the season, every member gets together and there’s a feast, but there’s no sense of reward or excitement to reach it. But hey, those journal entries were a nice touch!

📷 Visuals and Audio

🔷 The adorable art style is easily one of the game’s standout features, earning it a thumbs up. What better way to spread positivity than with miniature versions of animals as your characters? Pair that with a soothing soundtrack and an abundance of feel-good moments, and the overall charm of the game manages to outweigh its shortcomings.

🔶 On a brighter note, the game allows you to create a playlist from the various soundtracks available, which is a pleasant surprise. Finally, a developer who recognizes that a single soundtrack isn’t enough for most games! In terms of audio, I’d rate it a solid 10/10.

📝Main Pros and Cons

Pros-

  • Soothing soundtrack.

  • Cutesy visuals.

  • Simple mechanics.

  • A lot of positivity.

Cons-

  • Lacks a proper plot.

  • Gets repetitive easily.

  • Very short- could be finished under 2 hours.

😇 Honest Rating

🔶 This game could have easily earned a higher score if it had a solid plot to go along with its mechanics, but hey, nothing’s perfect- neither is its rating. If you’re searching for a way to unwind after a stressful day, it’s a fantastic choice. However, for the average gamer looking for depth or complexity, it’s probably a pass.

Rating: 6/10

If I didn’t get the leaf, I would have not recommended this game (thanks for having mercy on me).
