Sunshine Love Chapter 1

Updated: Apr 1

Sunshine Hotel

After a very naughty dream and getting fired instead of becoming a senior associate with the firm at their company. Our protagonists got a sudden call from a long-lost half-sister... Continue to see where the story goes.

Story - Content

Sunshine Love is a visual novel about how our protagonist loses his job and gets a sudden contact from his lost half-sister years after their split.

She offers him a summer gig until he gets his new employment in the fall.

You will meet various girls and spicy moments. Not only does this game have a good story but also a good look for its environment.

Your goal is to help improve the hotel and make it more popular so you’d get more customers.

You will also be given two or more choices, and depending on your choice/answer, you can increase or decrease your relationship with those certain characters.

With your given iPad, you have these available tabs:

  • Extras: Opens the Extra Preferences on the settings.

  • Replay: Opens the Replay Gallery of mainly spicy scenes.

  • Gallery: Displays the Rewards Menu, with two topics, “Peeping Tom Gallery” & “Doughnut Gallery,” which I will bring up in a bit.

  • Call: Allows you to call known people but only when they are available. They will be gray when you cannot call them.

  • Char. Info: Displays two sides with all unlocked people. Relationship Stats on the left & Characters Info on the right. But be warned, pressing on the main character messes with the game and opens a code log.

  • Background: As it sounds, it allows you to change the background on the iPad.

  • Music: Gives you the opportunity to select whatever song you want to hear from the list.

But you are also given the admin to check on your hotel’s status by the hotel icon on the left side. It allows you to see:

  • Description: Shows the hotel’s rating and how it currently stands.

  • Task List: Displays your tasks/goals to improve the hotel and its rating.

  • Services: At the start of the game, it will say, “Hotel under maintenance. No services provided yet.”

  • Staff: The staff tab shows you all the current staff at the hotel sitting on a couch next to each other.

  • About: Informs some lore about the hotel.

The further you progress throughout the game, the tasks will solve themselves, and along the journey, you will encounter joyful moments.

Peeping Tom & Doughnut

There are two things that will take your notice.

Peeping Tom, which allows the player to peek under the characters clothes. This can be done during the scenes that Peeping Tom is displayed on the left side of the screen. Peeping Tom moments that have been activated will be saved in the Peeping Tom gallery.

For the Doughnuts they will be hidden in various scenes, either far away or close up. Sometimes very clear to see and other times very blurry, once found, you can press on it to collect it. It unlocks a secret image that can be viewed in the Doughnut gallery.

Visual & Audio

Visuals

The environment brings the feeling of exotic heat, summer, vacation, and joy. Though it might be a bit too bright and would recommend more shadows outside. And dim lights inside with shining sun from the windows.

While the animations are pretty basic, this visual novel is more about the story and less about “naughty” scenes but more about teaser moments that still heat up the player during the combination of an interesting story and getting flashed.

Also, the characters faces or expressions are a bit weak, more of a casual expression most of the time.

And one stunning detail that does not happen as often as I've seen in multiple other NSFW visual novels… Actual different (and good-looking) meals in different scenes.

Most visual novels (that I've reviewed) keep using the same food prop in every dining scene, for example, in the kitchen with their family, loved ones, friends, and guests. But in Sunshine Love, I noticed immediately that they had multiple food props during multiple different dining occasions.

Audio

When starting a new game, a text displays on the screen informing the player: “Ability to mute music outside of settings if sound effects and ambience sound want to be heard alone.” The player can find this tab on the right side of the screen.

The songs contain a large variety of songs that the developers either have made or found free usable ones. Either way, they’re good and fit the experience of the game and its environment.

The player can choose a specific song on the iPad under a certain tab.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Story

  • Peeping Tom & Doughnut extras

  • Character naming (player allowed to change names)

  • Different dishes during dining scenes

  • Hotel Tab & iPad Tabs

  • Cheap Price

  • Selectable music

  • Easy access switch & mute music

Cons

  • Bright Environment

  • Weak facial expressions

  • Lustful animations

  • Main Protagonist Error bug in Character info tab

My final little thoughts

Sunshine Love is a quite enjoyable game for those who don’t want only intercourse but want something more “Teasing” so to say.

Where you get a glimpse of the full body instead of the full thing right away. The story is also pretty well done, like most visual novels, and for the price of the game, I would recommend trying chapters 2 & 3 as they have been released.

But not yet changed the main menu in the first game about the DLC's release. As in the first game, it says “coming soon” for chapters 2 & 3. If you developers do read this review, maybe take it to minds to change that small detail in the main menu.

I highly recommend trying Sunshine Love out for the story, the search for the doughnuts, and simply all the Peeping Tom moments.
