🎮 Gameplay Mechanics
🔶 Superhero Simulator promises to show the contrast between a superhero’s double life. During the day, you’re driving a taxi or flipping burgers to pay rent, and at night, you become the hero that Goldpine needs. Sounds fun, right? Well, I first saw it in spiderman, and I was thrilled to experience it myself.
🔷 So here’s how the game works- your character can fly and run fast without any limits. Using these powers, your goal is to protect the city from criminals, following the usual superhero storyline. Once you leave your apartment, you enter a square-shaped city where timed events appear very often. These events include things like finding lost pets, taking injured people to the hospital, putting out fires, and fighting terrorists. Occasionally, there are also boss and villain fights, which may require entering portals or sewers that lead to their hideouts. The game doesn’t stop there- you’ll also see UFO-like enemies hovering over the city or giant robots attacking from the sea. There’s a peace meter that increases when you complete events on time and decreases when you fail them. Many events can happen at once, so you must decide which ones to handle first. For example, stopping a bomb is clearly more important than helping someone find their lost pet.
🔶 Now to the most important question- do you actually feel like a superhero in this game? Somewhat. Ideally, the answer should be a clear yes, but the game only lets you play as one type of superhero, which feels very similar to Superman. You don’t get the freedom to be any other kind of hero, and that’s where the problem lies. The game calls itself a Superhero Simulator, but it doesn’t truly let you simulate being your own superhero. You can’t choose your abilities, skills, or even what kind of powers you want. While there are a few upgrades, like unlocking laser vision, the options are very limited.
🔷 Another thing I didn’t like is the combat- not because the idea is bad, but because it isn’t polished. During fistfights, your character and the enemy often freeze randomly, and nothing happens until you press the space bar. After unlocking the laser ability, you can easily defeat armed enemies from a distance, and they won’t even shoot back. That took away a lot of the fun. When I tried fighting them up close instead, I ended up getting shot through buildings. Overall, the combat feels unfinished. The only fights that were actually enjoyable were the villain and boss battles, since those are designed much better.
🔶 But hey, the game isn’t all bad. It still manages to be fun because of the variety it offers and, of course, the feeling of being like Homelander. There’s also the idea of living a normal life- working jobs like making burgers to pay rent- but that part feels underused. You can’t even leave your house without turning on superhero mode. While the current job system isn’t terrible, I really wish the game explored the dual-life aspect more deeply.
📷 Visuals and Audio
🔷 I usually associate superheroes with comic books, mainly because of Marvel and DC, and it’s clear the developers understood that connection. Superheroes and comics go hand in hand, which is why the game uses a comic-style art direction. It includes classic comic elements like action text that says “DASH” when you fly and large, colorful posters that make the city feel more alive. While the environment could use more detail- since most buildings look similar apart from their height- the game still looks decent and fits the superhero theme well.
🔶 As for the audio, it’s a mixed bag. It’s pretty obvious that some of the soundtracks were created using AI. A few of them sound great, but others are honestly terrible. The same applies to the dialogue. The voice delivery itself is fine, but the actual lines are questionable. You don’t really want a teenager you just saved from a kidnapping to say something like, “I’ll twerk now.” There’s also one specific soundtrack that plays during the burger job, and I absolutely hated it. I don’t even remember the lyrics, but they were extremely annoying- especially when you’re already juggling multiple tasks at once.
📝Main Pros and Cons
Pros-
Looks decent.
Variety in events, villains and bosses.
Great customization options for character.
Crazy Taxi, Burger Shop, and Superhero saving lives all in one game.
Cons-
Quite a lot of bugs.
Unpolished combat.
No diversity in superhero types or powers.
Keeping peace level low doesn’t have any big consequences- overall, the sense of progression feels low throughout the whole game, so it gets repetitive quite early.
😇 Honest Rating
🔷 I agree that the game has quite a few issues—unpolished combat, several glitches, and most importantly, it doesn’t really feel like a simulator. That said, the variety of events, boss fights, and the idea of living a dual life as a superhero are still fun. I think the game is worth trying, especially since the developers are releasing regular updates and adding more content. I’m confident it will be more polished over time, but for now, I’d recommend picking it up only if you find it on sale for a lower price.

I caught someone known as Captain Mid. A clone of Captain America.
