Vampires vs Werewolfs

Terran: The Realm of Humans, Vampires, and Werewolves. Dive down into the first chapter of The Seven Realms, starting at the first realm: Terran.

Follow this thrilling, fantasy, story-driven visual novel. Get excited. Get intrigued. Get sad. Get lustful. Watch the eye-touching surroundings and incredible animations.

A real treat both for the eyes and the mind.

Story

Chapter/Realm One – Terran:

The first chapter introduces the player to our main protagonist, a few close side characters, and our protagonist's mystery women.

Our main protagonist, “Atlas” (the name can be changed, but the character's origin name is referred to outside the game as Atlas only), is the heir to the throne of becoming the next Vampire king.

He isn’t a born Vampire; he was turned into one by the Vampire king himself and set as his now son and heir to the throne.

Our mystery woman, “Leyala,” and our main protagonist's bond mate.

She smells like a Vampire but seems to be a human, can deflect attacks from Werewolves, and isn’t affected by Mind Compulsion by any Vampire. This can mean she’s a very strong and powerful being, whatever she is.

Chapter one starts out with Atlas being at a local pub with his two best friends, where he smells Leyala. A strange girl who nobody had seen around before, after their encounter, which went to the left and to the right, it ended with Leyala going back to her hotel room.

Strangely, she felt the need to be with Atlas again, touch him, feel him, and spend the night with him.

So, after Leyala’s “Special Shower” she gets surprised by Atlas’s sudden visit and how he managed to get in without her noticing. Shortly after a couple of Werewolves bashed in and ended dead on the floor by Atlas from saving Leyala.

After a brief moment to take in all that has happened, Atlas explains what he is, what his goal is, and what might be between them.

That he is a Vampire, to find out what she is, and that they both have a Mate Bond, which Werewolves or Sprites usually only have.

(Mate Bond is a soul connection, and the feeling of closure and being near their other half will only decrease after first intimacy. It doesn’t force the person to fall in love, but it makes the person want to be close to their other.)

As Vampires don’t have a destined or pre-chosen one, they choose who they want and maybe switch a few hundred years later.

Needing to know so much and having so few answers, knocking on the door, Leyala got to stay with Atlas in his/their home until they knew more of who she really is and who is trying to hurt her and why.

Not long after, around six months of peace, serious matters conflicted in their path again.

You’ll meet more women and either have a three- or four-some with your bond mate and other women or with other women ONLY for your own pleasure and nothing out of love.

But who knows, maybe our protagonist's bond mate expands the relationship and the power held by them. I don’t want to spoil too much of the story, but it’s good, and you will be reading it for hours on end without wanting to stop.

Follow their thrilling and story-deep journey to find out what she truly is and to explore this new, sudden relationship between the two.

Extra

Main Menu/Extras

In the main menu the player can find the EXTRAS tab where you’ll find:

Glossary

Within the Glossary we can find information tabs for “Species,” “Realms,” and “Key Terms.”

The Species tab: Contains short texts of information about each species within the first chapter: Vampire, Werewolf, and Human.

The Realms tab: Contains all the seven realms, but unfortunately in the first game, we can only obtain the information for the first realm. (Or for the first and second realms, depending on if you own the DLC.)

The Key Terms tab: Explains a few words like Bond Mates, Compulsion, and Alpha/Beta/Luna Wolf. Most of these words will also be explained in the story.

The story’s dialogs are put together very well and explain detailed information in the most casual and understanding way. They implement this way of explaining for when Atlas explains what these words mean for Leyala.

That way the reader also learns and understands if they did not already know.

Trophies

Within Trophies, there are seven tabs/books. (If you have the DLC, two of those will be unlocked. Realm 1 & 2.)

Each Trophy book contains the chapters/realms achievements that can be unlocked within the story. You can see what achievements you have unlocked and the names of which ones you haven’t unlocked yet.

Gallery

The gallery has the same concept; you’ve got seven tabs where every sensual/intimate action is unlocked after reaching each scene.

(With the DLC, Realm 1 & 2 tabs will be unlocked. And Realm 2 cards will start unlocking when the second chapter/realm is reached.)

Depending on what your decisions within the story are, you can unlock different outcomes in scenes.

(I unlocked all but five in the first story, and I cannot, for the love of God, find how to unlock the exact second one.)

Each intimate action is displayed in cards with the image of the start or mid-way into the intimate fun. Favorites - Music - Credits

The other three tabs are “Favorites,” which are images from certain scenes that the player has hearted, saves in Favorites, and can be seen again. “Music” which contains the list of every single music there is within the game. And the unlocked music can be replayed from the lobby.

“Credits” is just the game credits, the developer, the animator, the music & sound people, the usual information.

Realms and Chapters

I own Realm 1 and its DLC, Realm 2, allowing me to see the informational text about Realm 2, its “Trophies/Achievements,” and its “Gallery.”

But I do also own Realm 3, but since it is a separate game, the informational tab only says, “We will reveal more information on High Lathión at a later date.” which might get updated since their game is out.

Then it’s not only that; the trophies and gallery are locked. I haven’t looked at or even opened Realm 3 yet, so I’m unsure if it will unlock within the first game. Or if it will simply unlock within the game on its own but keep Realm 1 and 2 locked.

Visuals

The visuals for the game truly amaze me. The lighting and shadows, the brim lights, the detailed surroundings.

And the intimate animations, they’re longer than most other games. And for the bigger amount of those within this game, it's almost impossible to see when it repeats.

The animation scenes are long and lustful; they might not have sound, but the length and heat they build up within one. They’re long and smooth but, at the same time, a bit unsmooth; it can be seen when looking closer at it, but it still looks very good.

The characters look realistic, good, combined with the light, good clothing, and no colliding. They just look well done and so detailed, even during animations.

Some visual errors have occurred within certain intimate animations. These errors aren’t anything major and probably won’t be fixed, but who knows? Maybe the developers see this and fix it later when all chapters (or before all chapters) are done.

Some textures, like small parts of color on surrounding objects, twitch color during intimate animations. (I think this happened during one of the first animations between the two) And clothing error/colliding at some intimate scenes.

Audio and Music

Audio

The first chapter/realm doesn’t contain any kind of sound effects during intimacy. All we get throughout the game is medieval instrumental music played on a gittern (Medieval Guitar).

Though this is unfortunate for no sound effects, the music is beautiful and truly fits in for the game by its fantasy, thrilling style.

Throughout the game you will unlock more music that will be played and rewatchable scenes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Story Depth & Length

  • Detailed information spoken in an understandable way

  • Amazing Visuals & Animations

  • Good Price

  • Character Builds & Design

  • All games will be connected (Developer gave me info)

Cons

  • Few visual errors

My Final Little Thoughts

The Seven Realms – Realm 1: Terran is chapter one of seven, and during the writing of this review, only three chapters are out on the market.

And the second chapter, The Seven Realms – Realm 2: Pythonium was supposed to be its own game, but by mistake, it was added as a DLC to the first game. So, to access the second chapter, you will need to play through the whole first chapter, which is around 6–7/8 hours long.
