One For All and All For One

Experience this story-depth visual novel about an American football college star who spends time in jail for a misfortune mistake and gets out to proceed with his life and with the ladies.

Story - Content

Move The Chains is a visual novel containing a deep story, erotic animation, detailed disclaimers about the game should only be played by mature people, and some other things.

The game is played throughout the main protagonist's POV.

On the first time the game is opened, they’ll present a detailed disclaimer about this being an adult game consisting of harm, drugs, intercourse, and violent scenes. And is meant to be played by mature people and is not a game to be joked about or taken silly.

These disclaimers only popped up once for me, at the first time opening. After that, it did not show up.

Move The Chains presents a detailed tutorial with a very well-made and cute little fox, which is the one themselves who explains every tab and setting there is, as well as some features within the game itself.

The only issue I've stumbled upon was leaving the tutorial and settings tab after watching it. This did only happen if the player decided to watch it in the main menu from the settings tab and not after starting a game and agreed to proceed with the tutorial.

Trying to leave the tutorial (once opened from the settings tab) puts one back in the settings tab, and trying to close the settings tab by pressing X restarts the tutorial.

When starting a new game, the player gets to choose if they want to turn off or keep on some certain aspects like Netori, Drug, LGBTQ+, N-Word Censor, and Letterboxing.

Beside all of these tabs, there is a detailed explanation of what they are or what they consist of.

If you had an eye on the tutorial, it explains to the player that the game has different stats, which are obtained from the choices you make. And as well as currency, or money, which the player can use to either spend it on themselves or invest it in businesses, or donate to charity.

One small detail that either the tutorial did not show or I most likely forgot and did not try for myself was: whenever a small yellow text pops up in the dialog tab, the player can press it, and it will open up a notebook with the description of what that word means or refers to.

!Spoiler Warning – Small Overview of Story!

Move The Chains is a story about a guy who falls into some bad ♥♥♥♥ and has to spend time in jail. After he’s released, he reunites with a couple of old friends who are there to pick him up and grab something to eat.

Without a job and no sight of continuing the career as a football player, all he is left with is the memory of the girl who caused all this to happen. It caused him to do what he did and go to jail for it.

But then, unsuspectedly, one day a man approaches him on the street and has a little chat, revealing that he is the coach for a football team and is willing to recruit him as a player.

Of course he had to think about it, but a meeting was planned and days before the meeting. In and out came coaches from different football teams and requested if he would join their team.

All got the same answer from him and left, and it ended up with him joining the coach who seemed most reliable. The coach who had to live like he did. Poor, parentless, and homeless. And that he doesn't care what happened in the past but what he can do in the future.

And as the story progresses deeper, the more you’ll learn and the more of the women you will discover.

Visual & Audio

Visuals

The visuals for the game truly amaze me. The lighting and shadows, the brim lights, the detailed surroundings.

And the intimate animations, they’re longer than most other games. And for the bigger amount of those within this game, it's almost impossible to see when it repeats.

The animation scenes are long and lustful; they might not have sound, but the length and heat they build up within one. They’re long and smooth but, at the same time, a bit unsmooth; it can be seen when looking closer at it, but it still looks very good.

The characters look realistic, good, combined with the light, good clothing, and no colliding. They just look well done and so detailed, even during animations.

Some visual errors have occurred within certain intimate animations. These errors aren’t anything major and probably won’t be fixed, but who knows? Maybe the developers see this and fix it later when all chapters (or before all chapters) are done.

Some textures, like small parts of color on surrounding objects, twitch color during intimate animations. (I think this happened during one of the first animations between the two) And clothing error/colliding at some intimate scenes.

Audio

The first chapter/realm doesn’t contain any kind of sound effects during intimacy. All we get throughout the game is medieval instrumental music played on a gittern (Medieval Guitar).

Though this is unfortunate for no sound effects, the music is beautiful and truly fits in for the game by its fantasy, thrilling style.

Throughout the game you will unlock more music that will be played and rewatchable scenes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Visuals & Animation Textures

  • Music & Background Music/sounds

  • Story & Lore

  • Main Menu

  • Detailed Tutorial

  • Detailed Information from Developer

Cons

  • Tutorial Exit/Closing Error/Bug

My final little thoughts

From what I've noticed, this story will take a few hours to complete, but it is highly worth the time since I simply scratched the surface after almost two hours.

The animations and textures, along with the music and sound and how it fades and is not simply played. These all make it more realistic and more fascinating and enjoyable.

The game is currently still being worked on and is to be released on the 8th of November, but go try out the demo if you read this before its release and if it’s already out. I highly recommend getting it and trying it for yourself if you enjoy a spicy, dramatic, and deep-lore visual novel.
